That I am

Many times as I think about God, I often come to a place of thought that goes something like this...what if He never created me. It's almost scary, I can't and don't want to imagine never being. Instead, He has made me and made Himself known in many ways...through nature, His Word, Jesus and more. Accepting Jesus as your Savior allows a relationship to start and you become a new creation, He makes all things new and I believe you'll find it's not about religion (mostly following rules) but an actual relationship!
His Spirit will commune with ours, the new one that is birthed through accepting Jesus. Remember He makes all things new. The relationship begins...similar to being born, but now understanding is available.

As you think deep about what Christmas is about, remember He made us and to know Him...He wants to walk with us! If you would like to hear more about my relationship (they do very some individually) I would share with you. Peace this day...Merry Christmas! It's all about Jesus the Christ.

Improvement

Improvement.  The extra visit to the chiropractor seems to have helped.  Jesse was able to get on the BioMat yesterday and we have been using the TENS unit, with the pads placed directly on the lumbar - several times a day. He is making certain to use the rebounder daily, as movement is definitely helping to loosen up the back.

I am hoping we get a report back before Christmas from the Navarro Clinic on Jesse's last HCG sample - I suspect with holiday mail, the delivery time to the Phillipines may have delayed its arrival to the lab substantially.

Before Chrsitmas I hope to make more of the almond and coconut flour cookies that Jesse had made a few weeks ago with low glycemic stevia as the sweetener. It will be nice for him to have a cookie treat for Christmas without the concern that it will fuel cancer.

We also need to make a trip to Willy Street for organic produce, and more of Nancy's cottage cheese so I can continue to make the quark for the Budwig protocol - which is a food mixture developed and found especially beneficial for cancer patients with the muscle-wasting.

We ask for continued prayers - especially that Jesse will be up for travel for Christmas. His family is near, but my family's gathering is an hour one way the Saturday after Christmas.

Blessings to all of you this season - we are so grateful that love came down from the heavens in Jesus,
Rita

Grateful, but wanting to "get back"

This is Rita, and I thought I would post a quick update.  Jesse has had a great couple of weeks with minimal pain. "A spring in his step" as the doctors describe. The spaghetti dinner went very well - many turned out to support and Jesse was there for most of it.

The past 48 hrs have had a relapse in pain.  Mostly right hip yesterday, and today the lumbar area is causing a lot of pain.  Jesse is having issues with walkingm and putting weight on his right leg...just when he felt good enough where he thought perhaps he could paint or do some of the projects...Satan is at work to take that good feeling from him it seems. I called the chiropractor and was able to get Jesse in this morning for a 2nd adjustment of the week. Dr. Reeson described shirring - T10 vertebrae twisted right, T11 twisted left - opposite directions.  Lots of adjustments, and some good PT stretches - but unfortunately it did not alleviate the pain.

A BioMat session would help, but he feels too much pain to even consider lying on it. I pray he will feel better to get a session in on Friday. We did use the TENS unit tonight and I hope that helps take the edge off so he can get some sleep.

Some one is a Magic 98 listener(s) - today we received $1000 check from their Holiday Make A Wish - apparently our family was nominated. I gave Jesse the letter and the check, and it brought him to tears. We are very grateful, however, it makes him want to "get back" more and more to work.
We pray the new year will bring about healing in his lumbar and hip so he can feel great again.

Pray request for this increase of pain to subside and even better...go away - it was so encouraging when he did not have this. we also need prayer for Jesse to rekindle his willingness to consume the alkaline foods/diet that will create a pH environment in which cancer cannot survive. I became lenient for Thanksgiving and it seems we  have not got back "on it" since. I suspect the increased inflammation can have something to do with allowing a few cookies, some other acidic foods...and not pumping his cells with healing oxygenated foods.

Blessings to you all,
Rita

Using Your Mind To Heal

A friend shared with us the work of Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen, author and speaker on the power of the mind to heal.
On December 16 from 5-6:30 pm pacific time, Dr. Remen is offering a free teleconference, "Stories About the Will To Live".  I wanted to share it with readers so that you can tune in or share with a loved one who is struggling with health issues.
As we start to look at more of Remen's work I am sure she will become a favorite as has Dr. Kelly Turner, author of "Radical Remission", and Lissa Rankin, author of "Mind Over Medicine".
This holiday season, if you have someone in your life who is very sick, I really encourage either of these books as a powerful healing device.
Or the book that introduced Jesse to the power of the mind to healing, "The Healing Code".

Remember how powerful the mind is...what you think about you bring about. Whether in health, or in success in life, or how you handle your day to day stressors. As one of my mentors, Keith Kochner of Mentorfish, likes to say, "what thoughts are you feeding yourself that don't serve you?".

Mind your mind,
Rita

Excited for Weight Gain!!

I heard a happy yell from the bedroom this morning, "WOOT WOOT!"  Jesse weighed himself and it is GOOD NEWS!
This is the first time Jesse stepped on the scale  since just before Thanksgiving and he is up SEVEN pounds - it is what we have been praying for.  His lowest weight was on 11/12 - and it was after that that we started some new protocols to the routine:
1. CBD oil tinctutre, 1 gram a day of cocentrated medical cannabadiol
2. Rebounding - several minutes a day on a mini trampoline to get the lymph system working
3. Lymph massage from Dr. Lawler at the UW Integrative Clinic
4. Acupuncture from Dr. Weber at the UW Integrative Clinic

We continue to see Dr. Reeson for chiropractic once a week. The body works together as a whole unit. The prostrate gland is just one tiny part of the entire body. Jesse's spine had to be adjusted and repositioned. His bulging three lumbar discs had to decrease in inflammation in order to allow the immune system to communicate with the prostrate gland. It all ties together...and unfortunately, many MDs do not recognize this. If there is a problem, there is a cause ...which then has an effect - aka chronic pain, disease, etc.

Jesse has admitted he needs to get back on track with a number of protocols he has slacked on...such as the juicing or Arbonne Greens Balance - to fuel oxygen to the cells; the quark from the Budwig protocol (cottage cheese/flaxseed oil mixture); using the BioMat daily.  I can understand...it does get tiring day after day (although I let him take weekends off).

We have an oncology appointment today. Jesse plans to let the oncologist know that he does not want his drugs - and thank him graciously for his time.  The whole idea that testosterone should be brought to zero for prostrate cancer makes no sense to us. We can only pray that mainstream medicine will start looking beyond the information the drug companies provide them with, and review outside study information. Jesse makes a lot of sense to me when he asks, "if they bring my testosterone to zero - how will my body ever put muscle back on?"  Right? A very good question...the body cannot make muscle without this primary steroid hormone. His testosterone has been low for several years, which has allowed the estradiol to take hold.  The books I have read, by Dr. John Lee, Dr. David Zava, Dr. Chrstine Rollins, and more, point towards estradiol (E2 hormone) as being the driving force for cancers of the reproductive system. As Michael Platt MD, stated so matter of fact in his book, "The Miracle of BioIdentical Hormones" - if testosterone caused prostrate cancer, why don't we have an epidemic amongst 17 year old boys?"  If you have one of those, as we do, doesn't that question make you say, "oh yeah - that makes sense".  This is not supposed to be a "health lesson" blog...that is what my Purely Living blog is for....but we feel a part of the reason we are going through this is to help others.

We are sending another sample to the Navarro Clinic in the Phillipines today...and look forward to having results back hopefully by Christmas. The HCG test measures active cancer cells in the body...and so far, each test has had the number going DOWN. All the more reason to keep on taking the healthy approach to total healing!

God has been so good to us... continually healing Jesse's body, showing us love through all of your prayers and support, and by bringing people into our lives that are on the same journey, or going through their own struggles. We can walk along side them, share our story of how He is at work in our lives...and celebrate the lives we have been given.

Rejoicing this day,
Rita

We Had A Great Thanksgiving

Jesse felt really good on Thanksgiving day, and overall, is so much better than he was 6 weeks ago.  Pain has returned in his right hip, however, which is preventing good rest again. With the holiday over, we will return to a 100% anti-inflammatory diet - which means no dairy (not even organic whipped cream), and no gluten, or even gluten-free simple carbs.
Jesse was doing so well, and has more of a limp back today...which means back to the strict diet plan. He longs for the day when he can eat things we shouldn't. I am confident the day will come where he can enjoy an occasional sweet treat and not have after-effects of pain.
On Friday we visited a local practitioner who has a Wellness Pro unit. Developed as an FDA approved medical device as a TENS unit, it also helps with micro nutrient absorption.  Anything that can help Jesse's body assimilate nutrients and promote weight gain is a good tool in healing, in my opinion.  We will be talking to his doctor's about it and ask for a prescription. For the unit to be effective, Jesse would need to use it every other day...which would equate to a lot of winter driving and session fees.
We are learning much about the many resources available for holistic healing. This is a learning journey for certain.
Jesse is, for the first time in several years, actually excited about Christmas. He WANTS to listen to Christmas music...so I am putting a request out there...for a techno geek.  I had won an iPod Nano...Jesse may have a little iPod from ETC as well. He was told he could download a bunch of music from our CDs to the iPod and hook it up to a boombox to listen to it. (We learned our boombox doesn't have the right jack inlet, but we may have something else around here...).  I am asking for a volunteer who could, in a short time frame as it is December, grab a bunch of our CDs (Jesse could list his favorites) and be willing to rip? the songs and download to the iPod.  Granted, this means I need to find the cables...hmmm
But if you have the know-how and are willing to do so, hopefully in a week or so he could be listening to seasonal favorites... let us know.

In gratitude,
Rita
